I'm not sure that he 'loved' his mother and hated his father.(I'm talking about the movie, of course). We see him react in a very angry way and shout at her after his father's murder. He's questioning her about the murderer and admits that he loved his father. So it's clear that Alexander didn't want him to die.
On the other hand, maybe he would like to kill his father (unconsciously) and in fact it happened when he killed Cleitus who was like a father for him.
Well, that's my opinion but I like your post,too. It's interesting. |
