Hey people!
From what I know, the theatrical release - which I got at Ebay, and would recommend everyone to do so before the release date, contains the entire film in 2 CD's. There is also a relatively expensive, and rare 4 CD collection, and if you can find that...get it. |

Why give a label to Alexander? He was the same as many men of his time who spent a long time on campaigns and cuddled up to whoever was closest but if you go back to the scene in the movie where Aristotle is teaching the young Alexander and listen to the question posed by young Cassander and to the answer it explains the interaction between men/women of the time quite clearly |

Cassander's mum ( as Mel Gibson might say we all have our crosses to bear ) The reason I always refer to Alexander as bisexual is because that is what the historical records state by depicting him as a lover of men and women.I also think that bisexuality must have been a strong feature of Ancient Greek life because the Gods whom they worshipped were more or less equally divided male and female. The best example of how this expressed itself, for me, is in that of Athena who was the Goddess/God of War and Knowledge. |

Is Scene 5 in both cuts the same scene with different title or has Stone cut the Aristotle classroom scene altogether? |

The scene with Aristotle remains in the director's cut, but it has been re-edited with some additional dialogue; the exchange about Achilles and Patroklos now takes place at the beginning, rather than at the end of the scene. Cassander still gets to say his lines to Aristotle.
The emphasis at the close of the scene is now on Alexander's ambition, his belief in the myths and dreams of glory, and Aristotle tells him;
"I can only warn you, not teach you. Beware of what you dream for. The gods have a way of punishing such pride." |
