My pleasure! God, I just love Colin in this role.

And I just love the fact that we get to hear both Darius and Bessus as well. *grin*

Bazil, i dont think we have to worry about Alexander being portrayed as an ex Yugoslav Confused

This is so weird. Alexander never fought for the freedom of the Greeks; in fact, most Greeks did not want his hegemony.
It could be that those words there were pure and simple propaganda, but I still found it a bit catchy: we have heard those same words by William Wallace, Maximus, and Aragorn.
I think I'll be extremely disapointed with this film.

PS: I don't understand what you guys mean. Do you seriously think that the Macedones then are the same as the Macedonians now?

Yes this is true. Alot of Greeks did not tolerate Macedon's hegemony just as they didn't tolerate Thebes', or Sparta's etc. Nevertheless, officially part of his reason for waging war in Asia was to punish the Persians for their attacks into Greece.

And no the 'Macedonians' today are and never were the "same". Slavic settlers from the 6th century AD.

Well then you should go and read some more books because the purpose of the war was to free the ionian greeks from the persian.

And no, the macedonians from ancient is not the same as the ones living in FYROM but there are in the Province of Macedonia. You see there are two macedonia one hybrid state created whith propaganda and one true hellenic province.

People who know nothing of history automatically connect the ancient macedoninas to slav macedonians in FYROM because of their name.
This is not the case they have no connections at all except of a little porportion of land in there country.

hey.....
i dont care if it politically correct historically correct or anything like that if it has good affects , a good story line and hot actors well then it will be a good movie peoples point of view may be different from mine... but i think that you shouldnt go to see the movie with a negectative perspectative cause then ull pick up on the crap bits and the incorrectness of it all and you wont enjoy a film that took money and elephants to make and that will have hot ppl in it.

well thats my rant if you dont like it you can go stick it.

oh and go jared leto...
