I don't think there is any information on any other regions but Region 1 right now.

After seeing Susa's post and digging a bit further I found over on imdb.com that some one had posted a link to the Davis DVD site, which has a release date of February 27th for Region 1.

The DVD is called "Alexander Revisited: The Final Cut".

Here is information from Davis DVD:

http://www.davisdvd.com/news/news.html

There doesn't look to be any extras Sad , except a ticket to the film "300".

I am sure news about other regions will follow, soon. But, this is great news. At least we don't have to wait as long a time as we originally thought!

A new third version! I'm so excited that I'm about to cry.

"Some people loved it and that's what gave me the right to do three cuts...
I just think he's too important a man to forget. It's so important to get it better because he deserves it"

A lot of people loved it and they have the right to see a longer and better version...
But I think Alexander doesn't need films to make him 'important'. This man cannot be forgotten.

If you weren't born a 'star', how can you expect life to know you?
And Alexandros IS A STAR

Thank the gods.... I don't think I could've waited any longer.

I am so happy that OS decided to release this new cut earlier. I can't wait to see more of this epic film Alexander. I wonder what the never before seen footage is all about. I can't wait to buy this film. I'll have one of each version.

I wish I was a massive collector of Alexander films like some of you here. I was heard that someone had the dvd from Italy and korea that's awesome!

XOXO to OS for this.

“What we did with Donner and now with Alexander really reinforces the fact that, where it makes sense, we are supportive of getting filmmakers’ visions onto the small screen,” said Baker. “The studio is very responsive to consumers who are looking for special versions of movies.”

A special thanks to Elessar, who posted this small bit of news over on my board about the new DVD.

You can read the information from this link to the Davis DVD site (read where it says Alexander update):

http://www.davisdvd.com/news/news.html

It looks like the film will be more linear in nature this time around with three acts.

Hi all

Will there be a release for the other regions as well as region 1? I'd hate to miss this. How do I know what regions my DVD player will play?

The Region should be listed on the manufacturers instructions.....some DVD players are Multiregion, but I think you have to set them (Regional Playback Control) and it only allows up to 5x times setting changes...or is that just computer hardware...?
My DVD rewriter/reader has RPC and the 5x limit...the last region change becomes permanent...I wonder if it would be possible to copy the DVD onto the hard drive and/or rewrite as Region 2 ....or is it a case of having to do it the naughty way until the film is released 'over here'?
Are you reading this Oliver Stone.....HELP!!!!
regards

Yes....you can rewrite Region 1 NTSC into Region 2 PAL via a computer editing software, which I have lurking around here somewhere; if there are no plans to release a Region 2 version of the film, I can try that with the imported Region 1 set....which should then play on an ordinary DVD player via PAL screen. As far as I can see....some tvs can also be changed to NTSC to read discs in a multiregion player....via the menu setup...I don't know if that is via the vcr menu or the tv menu....
Confused Confused
