There is a possibility that the armour and weapons discovered at Aigai Vergina and thought to belong to Philip II or possibly Philip III Arrhidaeus, could actually be that of Alexander himself. Recent research has confirmed that the structure, frescoes and items contained in tombs II and III date from Alexander's time, rather than his father's and researchers now believe that Philip III may have acquired Alexander's possesions after his passing.
Tomb I Philip and probably Clepatra-Eurydice and their child.
Tomb II Philip Arrhidaeus and Adea Eurydice
Tomb III Alexander IV, son of Alexander.
