Thanks for that. Smile I've been looking to see if I can find a better version of that as it appears it is from a magazine and was overlapping a different poster, hence the black 'cut-off' bit on the left hand side. If I find one I'll post it.

Curious... did they use flags back then? I could've sworn the Scythians were the first to actually bare flags (2nd Century AD).

My understanding is that armies bore banners bronze and their empire's symbols on their armour and shields.

Correction:

Scythians used the first "official" flags.
In the time of Alexander, the majority of Greek armies used red flags to signal units on the battlefield.

As far as I am aware, that's a concept poster made by a fan.

I think that poster came from "Variety"? And it was used as part of the pitch to get studios to back it financially? But I admit that's hearsay.

Our flag is now different because it was changed, in favor of good relations with our neighbours. That doesn't mean it is not macedonian simbol any more. (the flag on the poster is almost identical as our previous flag)
The fact that a part of Ancient Macedonia is inside the borders of modern Greece today doesn't mean that Greece should clame its history as its own, when there is clear distinction between these two separate nations and histories.
One question: Why the case is not the same with the relation between greeks and thracians, when we all know that the thracians also used the greek language. Or it would be the same if the thracians had bigger historic role in the world history in the way our ancestors had.

Jeez, how the hell does a thread of the teaser poster degenerate into a nationality debate? I won't let that continue, as most of you already know. Try not to ruin it for the people that are genuinly interested in the 'MOVIE'. As I've mentioned before - take your nationality debates to a site dedicated to that - this isn't one of them.
