Hi Cynic,
Yes, I have been told that that scene was filmed in London. Now, whether it remains in the finished picture, I won't varify, only speculate.
The dance is quite sensual and sexual, I'm told.... Francisco is very talented and endowed, apparently!!!!!!! Embarassed

Thank you for clearing that up for me, Larry. Very intriguing...

And your friend, apparently, doesn't skimp on details, if that last adjective is any indication.Wink

Thanks for the fantastic information, and great picture. Very Happy

Can't wait to see the movie, and they better have that dance in it, or I'll be mad as hell. Evil or Very Mad

He's STUNNING in the movie! The dance that he does for Alexander is absolutely captivating. He moves in ways that I did not the human body was capable of!

If anyone out there has a picture of him in costume from the movie, please do share!

He's an amazingly beautiful man . . .

I can, for now, tell you what I do know about Francisco Bosch (which is actually not that much since we only hung out together in bar settings). He is originally from Madrid, Spain, and I believe he is in his early twenties. He told me he currently lives in London, England, and he is a skilled ballet dancer. He may even have said something about belonging to some ballet company in London, but I cannot recall exactly. I don’t believe he has previous film experience, and probably got the part largely due to his dancing capabilities and good looks (people say he resembles Keanu Reeves). He said he does a scene in the movie where he performs an intricate and sensual dance for Alexander. He is supposed to be his young “boy” friend and traveling “companion.” Rolling Eyes[/quote]

Hey Sandune-do you happen to know if Francisco is gay or straight?

Arrian wrote about Bagoas as well - including his being a gift to Alexander from Nazarbanez (hope I spelled that right), and the dance after which he is kissed by Alexander after much lively encouragement from the army.

I loved Mary Renault's books - am currently re-reading them in the afterglow of seeing Alexander for the third time (I love this film).

Makes me wonder about a film version of The Persion Boy with Francisco in the lead - not nearly enough Bagoas in the film - but at least he was in the film!! Smile

Oh, I wish there would be a director who wanted to do it asap (so that Bosch won´t get too old for the role...)!!!

Didn't you just love the bit during Bagoas's dance where Colin's Alexander can't take his eyes of him and Bagoas looks over at Roxanne with this 'he's mine' look??

Has Fransisco Bosch been in anything else?
