Do we have no Anthony Hopkins fans here? I think he's a great actor and nobody wants to talk about him. Crying or Very sad

Hi, Kevin,
Yes, I like Anthony Hopkins and have since he appeared as Richard the Lionheart in "The Lion in Winter" - a truly great film, beautifully scripted....
He was also in "Magic", a fine movie that is now forgotten.
And, "The Remains of the Day" with Emma Thompson - what a well done film!!!!
Most of his films are overshadowed by 'Hannibal the Cannibal' films and although he is good in them, he should be remembered for versitality and not just one role.
I guess he will be narrator of this film or so I've heard or read somewhere; I could be wrong. Do we know for sure? Embarassed
"Alexander", the film will be raised up by his presence......
Larry

Yeah he is a great actor but not the person that I would cast. But then I would change most of the cast members anyway. He might do well as someone slightly more distant and not one of the main. A Greek leader or a preist somewhere but I do not see him as militairy man.

Yes Kevin, he is a good actor, but I have to agree with dynamo about him being a most unlikely Ptolemy I.

Like Larry, I enjoyed his performance immensely in "the Lion in Winter" as well as Picasso. Unfortunately, most of the box office ticket sales see him as Hannibal Lector which I thought was "ok" but definitely not his best work.

After seeing him a few times on award shows and some interviews, I have to say he really has an attitude problem, like he's almost disgusted with what other people think about him. The entertainment biz does that to so many people. It's really sad.

Thanks for the photo, Kevin.
I like it, I really like it - OMG, I've turned into Sally Field!!!!!
The background is so rich and ornamental; I can see the production values are going to be great.
Just 6 more months....... Rolling Eyes

Hi my name is Jeff, and I am the Host of the Anthony Hopkins Fan Forum (where we celebrate the life and work of one of the greatest stage and film actors of all time.)

I can’t wait to see this movie, even though Hopkins has a small role to play. Oliver Stone is by far my favorite director!
