Hello, new to the forum. Does anybody else think that the blond hair does not suit colin farrell as well as his brunette hair colour does. |

I think it's too bottle blond for the role, but who knows... being out in the desert and sun as often as Alexander was might turn a medium-blond into a stark blond. |

It does not suit him at all. It also does not fit the historical appearance of Alexander.

I'm not going to be too bothered about what his hair looks like, I'm more interested in how well he acts. Besides, our young Ptolemy has enough curls to spare |

While I like Colin better with dark hair..
his blond hair for the role doesn't bother me that much..
There seems to be some "historical" representations of Alexander with light hair..and some with dark.. and we can't tell on the statues.
Many faces of Alexander
Colin as Alexander |

Yes..he learned how to ride a horse for "American Outlaws".
It might have been a different "style".. he was practicing for
"Alexander" in the mountains outside of L.A. for a few months
prior to filming starting. |

I have a memory of him riding really well in Ballykissangel, but in the American Outlaws extras the Director said that he couldn't ride "to save his life" when he got there, but was better than the stuntment when he left. I'm confused on that one, because his horsemanship in BallyK left a lasting impression. weird. |

Just had a quick look and you're right, but he might be in the process of gathering them up before turning his thumbs upwards. That's a very english way of riding though, they may have taught them another way of holding themselves on the horse that is more authentic to the time and place. |

No..but I'd sure like to see Colin in that pose!!
I tried to find a screen cap from American Outlaws with him holding reigns.. I'll look again.
I don't know one iota about riding a horse |

Magika,
You always provide us with the best pictures. I always have to admire them leisurely and take in each feature.
You're the greatest - keep up the good work. [i]Marvellous.
