Hi, There;
I just want to say that this is the best site for the Alexander movie, and you have some very exclusive pictures.
I am very impressed because I have worked as an extra/technical stand in, on the Alexander set in Pinewood studios in London. I have half English and half Persian. I spoke to some of the actors and have a lot of stories to tell. In-fact you have a picture of me with Jared Latto.

I just want to say that I met some really cool people on the set and it would be great if we could keep in touch. So if you worked at Pinewood studios in December on the Indian set and the gardens of Babylon, please get in touch.

Best regards,

Keep up the good work.

Ped

P.S Great Links, Your keeping me up to date ..

Hi Pedz201 and welcome!

I would love to hear some of your stories, sometime. It sounds like you had fun. The sets from the film are just incredible!! I know they will look awesome on the big screen.

I hope you can stay in touch with some of the actors. That would be cool. What picture are you in with Jared Leto? I have seen so many pics, I can't keep them straight anymore.

I guess thats a good problem to have, isn't it?

Cheers,

Dara

[u][u]My Brief Encounter with Stone

Well I was on the set and nature calls, so I went to the men’s toilets, as you do… When I was in there, who comes in…The legend Oliver Stone.

Stone: God dam English weather (it was raining outside)

Myself: Well it does get pretty wet around here

Myself: How is the filming going?

Stone: Very well thanx

I would have talked to him more, something a bit more productive but I left him to do his business, you could never talk to him on set because he was so busy. The moral of the story is, you never know who you will bump into in the toilets.

Well that was one of the only people I didn’t talk to, I could have many times but unfortunately I didn’t, we acknowledge each other but that was about it because I didn’t know what to say. But he was a cool guy, everyone-one on the set said he was a generally a nice bloke and I could see he was very focused and determined to do the script justice. Also when you’re on the set you see everyone as equals and you really don’t get star struck because you release just how normal they are. The sets are sooooo… fantastic I often could look out of the ‘window’ and actually believe I was there.. All the girls that I talked to wanted to get married on the set….it was breath taking.

Hi GL,

The movie premiers in LA on November 16th and goes into general release in USA and Canada on November 24th.

When it hits Ireland is anybody's guess. If life was fair, one would think that, with the star being Irish, it would play there immediately. But, even Britain has to wait till 2005, so good luck to you Irish filmgoers...
And also, Greece is not getting this picture any time soon, I hear; and the film is about a Greek/Macedonian/Hellenic hero... Go figure.
Yes, life is not fair!!!!

Regards,
Larry

Maybe Stone wants to release the movie in a more favourable time for himself.
