For anyone who understands the movie business ... why do they stagger the release dates anyway?

I'm just miffed that I have to wait up to six weeks longer to see this film than anyone in the US, Sweden, Canada, Egypt, Thailand, Russia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, israel, Hungary, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium or France Wink.

It could bee that in scandinavian, canada and so on there are living today many people from Persia and Greek. Maybee they want too see there reaction first. Because i don't think that many from those county gone miss the movie. And maybe after have seen the movie they gone criticize it and then the movie gone get more publicity like Passion of the Christ movie. I could be wrong.

This is a personal view point - but doesn't it give an awful lot of time for pirated copies to be made available? I mean 24th November US - and then other European countries being at least 4-6 weeks later? In my opinion (and that is all this is) isn't that silly? From a UK perspective (cos that is where I am based) I always thought that most US films premiered about a week earlier than the UK. Not 6 weeks earlier! Am I the only one that sees something wrong with this picture?

Hello Everyone,
As I have said before, this is stupidity!!!!!!! Surely, Britain should be getting this movie sooner than other countries. And, Australia and New Zealand too....
Canada is scheduled for November 24th and we're all supposed to be in the Commonwealth together. I know Oliver Stone knows this, because several years ago, he mentioned the Commonwealth in an interview.
The distribution of this movie stinks......
Kevin and Cal - I sympathize with you.... Sad
Regards,
Larry
