Yes but isn't there also a bit where Ptolemy says something like 'Alexander only found peace between Hephaestion's thighs'. He says it during the wrestling scene so it could be related to wrestling, but obviously it has another meaning.

peace...
no, he was ruled by Hephaistion´s thighs, meaning there was no-one else who could conquer him in wrestling...or in any other way... I wonder did the real Ptolemy say/write this or is it made up by later generations, who wanted to spoil Alexander´s reputation...
I also wonder, does it mean he was top or bottom? Wink

Is not a bad idea... take your time and write that story, and later send it to me. I hope it would be very happy for me and that imaginary young heph...

What I meant was, that I would start writing a story on this message board and people can carry on writing parts of it as they feel like. I have had great fun with people writing stories in this way on another message board, we have laughed a lot. You can be the hero, what would you like your name to be? I have got the name Stefan in my head, is that a Spanish name? Smile

This sounds like fun? Do you want to start it?

I've started this story on the General Discussion board. So far, only Lala has joined in writing it and I'm waiting for Hef19 to join in and describe who he would like to meet at the DVD shop Laughing

Hi Everyone,

One of the members of the Dreamworks Alexander forum posted a few things about the DVD. One is an audio interview that Stone did with the BBC, when the film was premiered in London at the beginning of January. He talked about what his intentions might be for the DVD.

The other is a recent article from "The Times of India", in which he talks a bit more about ithe subject. I hope he sees the letter that was written to him from the members of this board. Some of his comments are a bit disconcerting.

But anyway... listen read and enjoy!

Here are the links:

Audio Inerview with the BBC (he talks about the DVD from about the 8 minute mark to a bit after the 12 minute mark):

Article from "The Times of India" (dated 2-5-05)

Thanks to Susa from the Dreamworks forum for both links.

Dara:)

Birdiemom94 - see what you mean about his comments re: the DVD - this is devastating news - I had no idea it did as bad in England as it did in America - Now I'm really worried and feeling a little Crying or Very sad well, suicidal would be more accurate (why haven't they an emoticon for that?)
Oh well, it seems an altered version of this film is a certainty in the UK and USA - but let's at least hope that along side it he'll release the untouched (and therefore unspolied) version of this film that obviously proved too intellectual for too many people.......
(leaves computer forlorn and utterly miserable......)

Don't be too down, Pipsqueak.

We don't what Stone will do. The only thing we can do is wait. I truly hope there are a few versions of the film. I think that would make the most sense. There has been no official release date as yet, so who knows when we will see anything.

I truly hopes Stone remembers those that liked the original version.

Thanks for the interviews, Birdiemom94. It was interesting that India cut half an hour of the movie (without telling OS), and that korea asked OS to cut the film (which he did) and then chose to show the full uncut film - to packed houses.

damn right - birdiemom94 - let's hope Larvaarks's letter has the desired effect - and OS is even now calling a meeting with all the powers that be to change any error in decisions that may have already been made.

God! the wait is going to kill me!

You are most welcome, Allison. I am glad you enjoyed the interviews.

Over at the Dreamworks forum we have pages and pages of articles, interviews and pictures. It's always nice to be able to spread the wealth, as they say.
