Alexiel - so glad to see you back. I was beginning to wonder if we'd lost you!

What a great day. I've found two people I thought were lost to us!

Seriously!

I am so very confused....who is releasing it on the 6th April? That doesn't tally with OS' letter (he said June 14th - in the US at any rate). I'd really like some more info on this as the web doesn't seem to be giving much up on the subject.

Wonder if the difference in dates has anything to do with the different editions being released.

I was wondering that myself - although I've scoured the Net (or at least every DVD retailer I can think of) and none of them have any details for Alexander yet - but if the difference is between the Intelligent version (that's ours, guys) and the one to please the legion of moron's who just couldn't understand the finer points of such an excellent film, then let's hope Intelligence takes precedence.......

You're sure about it? It will be released in April? And where did you preorder it? I'm confused, too, many release dates...

I´ve sent email to cdon.com and asked, do they mean 6th April or 4th July. I haven´t got an answer yet. Here in we tend to write first the day, then the month, so that´s why I presumed it´ll be released in April. This version is the same as seen in theatres in most countries.

A member at imdb.com found a link to order the DVD (for Region 1) it says April 17th. It says PG-13 version and it is 175 minutes long. That is the same amount of time as the theatrical version. If it is PG-13, he must have put some new footage in to replace what decided to edit. Very interesting. I am still a bit confused. There has been no formal announcement on this from Warner Brothers and Stone has said a June release. But maybe it's June for the theatrical version. I just don't know.

Anyway, here is the link to the site I mentioned:

Yeah, to cut that much out would imply new stuff has to be added as Dara said - you've got to wonder.
If previously-unseen material does make it though, it looks good for the possible eventual release of the whole thing...(getting my hopes dangerously high).

I'm going for a very long weekend now - it's Hornaru's birthday* and we have a couple of days off. Take care.

*Haven't seen him yet today but apparently presents so far included a bayonet (antique no less). Guess who's watching her step all weekend then...
