I am very interested in what all of us on this site have in common. We must be a certain type of person to have really fallen in love with 'Alexander', the film and general experience. I did these personality tests a while ago and came out as INFJ, the Idealist Counsellor, on the humanmetrics test and a type 4, the Individualist, on the enneagram institute one [well, I guessed. I didn't want to have to pay!]
If anyone is interested in finding out what type of person they are, here are the sites:
www.enneagraminstitute.com/enneagrams.asp
www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
Wouldn't it be funny if we all came out as the same type? |

So, Emily, you and I are EXACTLY the same type of person! No wonder we have the same interests.
Hephaestion, you are introverted like me, but the opposite of everything else. But maybe the introvert bit is the bit that likes 'the Alexander phenonmenon'. I think I'm pretty unsocial too.
Interesting.  |

Very interesting Catherine.
On the humanmetrics I am INTJ:
Introverted 56
Intuitive 12
Thinking 1
Judging 6
Are we all introverts?
On the other one I was a type 9: the peacemaker but I had a close second in type 3, acheiver and type 5, investigator - missed these by 1 point so I guess I'd have to pay the $10.00 to find out for certain. |

I think this is all very interesting. It seems MOST of us are Introverts, but I'm not bothered about that.
I've got a book called 'What makes people tick: the ultimate guide to personality types' and it defines Introverted people as those who need time on their own to de-stress and relax, and Extroverted people as those who need time with a big group of friends to de-stress and relax. So that is not uncomplimentary. |

Emily, all these scores for these tests are on a scale, so there's introverts at one end, extroverts at the other. I see that your 'introverted' score is very low so I suppose you are in the middle somewhere, a 'half and half' I'm right at the introvert end, with a high introvert score. |

I did the 'Humanmetrics' and this is my result:
Introverted = 78
Intuitive = 38
Feeling = 62
Perceiving = 22
Well is it good? I don't know but something is wrong I think. Perceiving is too low! |

Joanna,
don't worry about being 'wrong'. These tests are just to show what type of person you are, not if you are wrong or right. Perceiving just means 'living life as it happens' whereas Judging, the opposite, means 'being organised' |

Not that I attach too much importance to it, but the first one had me down as
"The Investigator" which wasn't too bad as I do science for a living.
The second one said I was Extroverted 44% Intuitive 62% Thinking 38%Judging 78%
moderately expressed extrovert
distinctively expressed intuitive personality
moderately expressed thinking personality
very expressed judging personality
Some of it's spot on - but I'm certainly not intuitive, and only thinking 38% of the time?! Insulted! And me, judgemental? Never |

100 introverted
thats me and thats true
well not 100 %
these are my results
moderately expressed introvert
moderately expressed intuitive personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
slightly expressed thinking personality
these results are from the second test
well these is an extrange fact maybe is a coincidence maybe not
but truly i like the way i am
but my cuestion is what could be the connection between our personality type and our love for Alexander.
maybe the personality type that Oliver Stone gave to Hephaistion is similar.
and well actually Alexander was sometimes introvert. |

I think I just meant that this film has only attracted certain types of people and not the 'general public', and I wondered what we all had in common. It obviously has some deeper meaning for us, it can't just be a coincidence that so many people have joined this message board. And new people are joining every day, like lost souls looking desperately for people who understand them and their love for Alexander. |
