That is really awful news. Especially as he had a little daughter, the same age as my daughter- how do you tell a 2 year old that her daddy's dead? |

Ennis del Mar to Jack Twist's parents,
I feel awful bad about Jack....can't begin to tell you how bad I feel."
That sums it up for me. I can't tell you how bad I feel that this colossal talent, this complex sensitive man, this brave actor has gone.
Somehow it's as though all the tragedy of Ennis' story has spilled over into real life and is splashed over every paper. Desperately, desperately sad and a huge loss.
Catherine, I have no idea how you go about telling a little girl her daddy's gone.

I wasn't really looking for an answer to my question, it was kind of rhetorical, one of those universal questions to which there is no answer. My heart breaks to think of the little girl Matilda. |

Lets just remember him at the top of his game. Thanks to Roco for the image.
I know Catherine. It was a sort of rhetorical acknowledgement. It's unanswerable. |

I liked him in A Knights Tale.
It is a real loss to Hollywood, his fans and of course even more so to his daughter Matilda, ex partner Michelle and his family. who are obviously distraught.
It seems whatever happened, it was accidential although they are waiting for further test results. |

Amid the tabloid trash are some wonderful articles recognising Heath's fantastic talent and potential. Here's a link to some features in today's Guardian. Of special merit is "It's not fair, it's not right" by Joe Queenan.

Adriv, how nice to hear from you. How's it going?
Here's my small tribute and thank you. I felt I needed to do something.

It's hard to believe that these famous, wealthy people from Hollywood suffer from stress-fuelled depression and take drugs. They can have anything they wish!
I first learnt about his death yesterday when I had a break from a workshop at university. We were doing some work on the computer and as the others went to get something to drink, I stayed there and had a look at our forum. I read Cristina's post and I couldn't believe it! I was looking at it for some time. Then I realised it was true. I'm so sad.
What he wanted was his family to be with him. I think the separation from his wife (he loved her very much) and the fact that he couldn't see his little daughter as much as he would like to were the main reasons for his unhappiness. |

Thanks Adriv. Yes, I'm pretty sad at the waste of it all.

Interesting that they compare Heath to River Phoenix. I immediately thought of River when I heard of Heath's death Another young star, full of potential, becomes a star in the sky. |
