He's got fans in Canada too! Laughing
Infact just yesterday when I was watching my DC Alexander DVD my sister walked in at the part where Cassander speaks the day before Gaugamela and my sister (Who'd seen the film in theaters) remarked, "Now HE should have been Hephaistion!"
Oh well. . .

Hmmm... Confused not sure about that, but then again... Confused

Jared Leto was perfect as Hephaestion and some of us will agree.

No, Jared Leto wasn't a bad Hephaistion but JRM would have been a very. . . different Hephaistion.

I don't know how to explain exactly, but I do think it would have been different had JRM and JL switched roles. Do you honestly think they would have seemed the same characters had the actors switched? Sure Leto was perfect as the most perfectly quiet Hephaistion, but I sometimes would have liked him to have made himself more known. JRM had very little actual time on camera or lines, was very vibrant.

Of course a lot of this isn't up to actors. They have to listen to directors and then there is always the cutting room floor.

My chain of reactions:
1. Learning JRM was in Alexander: I hope he plays the lover!
2. Check IMDB: Who the hell is Cassander?
3. Watching movie, little Cassander bugging Aristotle: So Johnny plays a bad buy...I wish he played Hephaistion...
4. Hephaistion appears: Wow...I have no complaints Razz
